Selph holds some of the most sensitive data a person can share — conversations and a working model of how they see themselves. This page explains what we collect, who can process it, and what you can do about it. It is written in plain language for our closed beta; it is not legal advice. We will have counsel review a formal policy before public launch.
In plain English
- We don't sell your data.
- We don't use your conversations or graph to train Selph's models without your consent.
- Your account holds your chats, graph, hypotheses, experiments, and measurements.
- To run the product we send necessary content to processors — for example, the language model that powers chat.

Who we are
Selph is the product at ilovemyselph.com. For privacy questions, export requests, or deletion requests, email support@ilovemyselph.com.

What we collect
Account data (email, name, authentication credentials). Chat conversations with Selph. Your graph (needs, motives, behaviors, skills, outcomes, contexts, and related structure). Hypotheses, experiments, measurements, and nudges. Billing entitlement (free or Pro). Device tokens used to deliver push notifications on mobile. When crash reporting and product analytics are enabled, error reports and funnel events (for example signup → first chat) — not a dossier we sell.

How we use it
We use this data to run Selph: chat, graph building, hypotheses, experiments, and nudges; to secure and operate your account; and to improve reliability. With consent, once community insights ships, we may use deidentified aggregates as described in that section of this page and in the in-product disclosure.

Who processes data for us
We use service providers to operate Selph. Categories include: language-model providers for chat and extraction; hosting and infrastructure (for example Render and Vercel); payment processors (Stripe and/or Apple); email delivery when we send transactional mail; and crash reporting / product analytics (for example Sentry and PostHog) when those are enabled. We do not sell personal data.

AI and model training
We do not sell your conversations or graph, and we do not use them to train Selph's own models without your consent. Providers process inputs under their terms in order to deliver the service. Narrow hard-identifier redaction before language-model calls (for example SSNs, financial account numbers, phone numbers, and street addresses) is shipping for beta.

Your rights
You can see what Selph holds in the product (chats, graph, hypotheses, experiments). You can request an export or deletion by emailing support@ilovemyselph.com from your account address. When community insights ships, you will be able to opt out in settings. Corrections to account details can be requested through the same support address.

Retention
We keep your data while your account is active. When your account is deleted, we remove the personal data we hold about you, subject to short-lived backups or legal retention if required. Until self-serve deletion ships, deletion is fulfilled manually via support.

Children
Selph is not directed at children under 13. If you believe we have collected data from a child under 13, email us and we will delete it.

Changes
We will update this page when our practices change and revise the last-updated date. For material changes during closed beta, we will notify beta users when practical (for example by email).
